Presented by

Madison Public Library Foundation's annual Lunch for Libraries fundraiser is an opportunity for community members who are committed to our libraries to come together and celebrate, support and invest in the future of our libraries.

This year's lunch will feature New York Times bestselling author, Daniel Pink. Pink will join us on Thursday, April 26 at the Overture Center for the Arts to discuss his newest book, When: The Scientific Secrets of Perfect Timing. Tickets include lunch and a hard-cover signed copy of When

Pink has written several books about business, work, and behavior, including the only graphic novel to become a BusinessWeek bestseller. His book A Whole New Mind has been a Freshman Read at a number of universities and was distributed by Oprah Winfrey to Stanford University’s graduating class in 2008 when she was the school’s commencement speaker.

Besides being a successful writer, Pink is also an accomplished public speaker. His TED Talk, The Puzzle of Motivation, is one of the 10 most-watched TED Talks of all time, with over 19 million views.

All proceeds of Lunch for Libraries will benefit the Wisconsin Book Festival and the Madison Public Library system. For their over 2.3 million yearly visitors, these libraries provide access to thousands of books, activities, meeting spaces, educational classes, and more in a public space where everyone is welcome.
